Britain’s eight most populous city and an English Core City, Bristol is the largest city in England’s South West. Despite being bombed heavily in the Second World War, Bristol today boasts a variety of architecture and buildings dating back as far as medieval times. The city is home to 51 Grade I listed buildings and thousands more of historical significance, from Bristol Cathedral, which dates back to the 1100s, to large estates like Ashton Court, built in the Tudor period.
